apparently 8 ways to say "i like your post" is more constructive than a disagree button

Well... damn.
I'm not going to pretend I was a close friend of Ryder; I didn't know him well, and I wasn't.
I don't know much about him, but I wish to send him, his family, and his friends my sincerest apologies. I've never lost a friend before but I can imagine it can be heart-breaking.
May he rest in peace.

rather than having bugs and the finalized community suggestion thing clogged with suggestions, maybe mp could auto-archive threads 3+ months old. from there you could go from oldest-newest suggestion.
js, when you have threads dating back a couple months/years ago there's really no way to sort it (not that I know of) so that all recent-ish bugs/suggestions are viewed and ancient ones aren't
this way you don't need to bump your thread hoping that a qa member is viewing the forum at that given moment

Chiss, people didn't leave the Mineplex forums because it was toxic.
Some left because they grew up and got a life.
Some left because they were simply uninterested.
But most left because they gave up on Mineplex.
Gave up on trying to help the community.
Gave up on submitting suggestions but never getting a response.
Gave up on trying to be constructive because in others' eyes, it was hate.
Those people who make up the "most" category?
Some of them used to be staff members.
Some of them were influential figures that helped the community.
People are leaving Mineplex because without these people, it's shit.
Trying to make the Mineplex forums a happy place by locking and/or archiving posts - hell, even those constructive posts that you asked for a long while back? - that people dedicated their time to makes the actual "good people" leave.
Some people put lots of time and effort into a constructive thread in hopes of making Mineplex better.
It is really discouraging when a staff member views it as hate and locks/archives it. Why the hell would you spend time on that brilliant suggestion you just made, when it's just going to be ignored? Why the hell would you spend time on a constructive thread when it's just going to be locked or archived and viewed as hate?
Locking and archiving these threads doesn't make Mineplex a "better place". Contrary to what you want to do, it makes it a worse place than before.
Saying, "Thanks for your suggestion, will be forwarded to the QA team" when it just ends up on a huge list of "accepted" ideas dating back from a year and a few months ago does not encourage the community to think of ideas.
If you want to make Mineplex a better place, start with the censorship problems.
