it is supremely ironic that left news outlets are calling out the right for misleading headlines and bad reporting

Is it strange that I miss handling reports as a Helper? Those were fun.
8
What did you find fun about it? Wasn't it literally just decide whether the report is acceptable and copy paste "yes" or "no" responses?

Or did you mean you enjoyed being a forum mod in general? I remember you being pretty respected and popular in the community at the time
2 comments
Pretty much, but it was always kind of fun.

And mostly that was it, but I always typed out my responses *shrug* didn't take much longer than that. I dunno.

Being a HELPER (never made it past mod, resigned for personal reasons) was pretty neat but I didn't care much about popularity after the whole potato race shit.
nostalgia is weird
did u know 3/29 is poverty awareness day its a great time to make some personal sacrifices and go out of your house and help a poor poerson out it doesnt take much from you ut would help that depreate person a lot

Would recommend Mhakna Gramura and Fairy Bell if you haven't read it yet.

It's only like an hour long, but it's pretty high quality.

I got mine for free, but I'd say it's worth a $5 lying around. That's like a smoothie

Already picked it up and starting to read it

That seems rather excessive for a smoothie.

Ever heard of Tropical Smoothie?
Ever heard of high living costs ; ^) $5 for a smoothie is cheap
Nope, no clue what high living costs are. I definitely do not live near a trashy glorious socialist utopia where tax rates go through the roof and jobs are impossible to find because of the moronic the brilliant idea to raise minimum wage.

"am fairly certain that more profits will not in fact encourage business leaders to raise wages"

*cough* *cough*
0
Okay, and how much of that was caused by Trump's policies and not the minimum wage being increased in many states? And of those people, how much of them actually received any kind of substantiative raise?

And then how many of those, for those companies that offered raises as a result of Trump's policies, didn't close a bunch of stores or otherwise remove either jobs or benefits *cough* Walmart *cough*

With little real incentive for business owners to put the excess into the pockets of its workers, little changes to employees' take-home income will appear.

Also, most of the money going into employee's pockets as a result of the tax cuts are a tiny fraction of what they're actually getting.

Honestly, most of it's just for show.
https://www.cnbc.com/2018/01/11/walmart-to-boost-starting-wage-give-employees-bonus-after-tax-bill.html
(Because NBC is, of course, known for its bias toward big businesses)
Walmart's also cutting a bunch of stores and jobs, just saying.

Also, they're spending 300 million more on employees. How much are they receiving from cuts?
300 million is about 0.2% of their net profits.
I'm pretty sure the tax cuts were plenty more than 0.2%.
That only reinforces the thought that most of this shit is purely for show
Yes, how dare they don't give workers who don't do high-skill jobs massive wages!
How about a living wage? lol

I hate the phrase "how can white people teach black history".

So, like, should we start segregating teachers at the elementary school level based on race? Do we really need a variety of different teachers to teach every subject? Does the color of one's skin affect their ability to objectively teach a course? Because I could have sworn we had gotten rid of most of the legal institutionalized segregation already, at least in America. It's truly wonderful to see that people apparently genuinely seem to believe that the color of one's skin affects one's value.

You know, I could have sworn we had learned this lesson a while ago.

Wait, aren't there multiple social movements as we speak that deny this very thing?

Sad to see that a significant portion of the people arguing against racism just make it worse.

Identity politics breed racism. If for no other reason, this is why the identity politics-supporting DNC should never be supported.

You mean the people who were consistently responsible for racism, sexism, and general opposition to civil rights are racists?

Wow.

For the unenlightened, "the people who were consistently responsible for racism, sexism, and general opposition to civil rights" means, you know... leftists.

"...and double flats and double sharps, which you will use in one of the following situations: one, you have forgotten how key signatures work..."
1
I mean, there are quite a few situations where it's actually easier to see a double modifier than it is to see a simpler enharmonic spelling, but not much. It was meant satirically and I loved it.

I shall just point out that, in fact, I am fairly certain that anything with doubled accidentals can either be expressed as another note (e.g. C instead of B#) or as a different mode (e.g. A minor vs. C major).
