Something that has grabbed my attention within the past couple of days is that... times can be tough. I wanted to write about how you all have been the best friends I could ever ask for. As you all know, I was not in the best position several months ago. I was highly unmotivated, depressed, felt worthless; and my grades and social life also suffered from that. You all were the primary source of my happiness during this uphill battle. Every day I would only look forward to interacting with you all on Discord and Snapchat. Months later down the line, I am much better off than I was back then, and I only have you to thank. Without even realizing it, you have done something amazing and helped me through a really harsh time in my life.
As our generation has reached its teenage years, it has become more apparent that there is a growing epidemic of depression among us. This is something that only you can decide to either conquer, or let control and consume you. I plead you to spend your time wisely, that is, in the realm of positive interactions. You all are special in your own way, and you do matter to somebody. You are not required to succumb to the pressure of presentation and to indulge in the fantastic trends, contrary to what our society may tell you. You all are beautiful in your own way, and I am proud to call each and every one of you my friend.
There is nothing more important than how we treat one another. Spread positivity within your circle of friends. Be a light. Find purpose in your life so that you can be the best you. Only you can decide how you value your time. And remember: I love you all.
