When people talk about other server they say:
- "Aw the plugins suck"
- "It's the wrong type of pvp"
- "It's so laggy"
These issues are easily fixed, a few bug fixes, plugin additions and you are golden.
When people talk about CCNet they say how bad the staff is:
- "I got banned for no reason"
- "Staff is ignoring me"
- "Why did I get banned and he didn't"
This is a systematic and rooted issue with CCNet.
Taakot:
- From the beginning, I can't thank taakot enough for his work on moderation and the wiki, he truly is a selfless staff who I believe wants to make the server better
- However, to a ridiculous extent, he continues to over-punish, ignore reason and overall, unfortunately, make the server a worse place to play.
- But in a large way, overall I know Taakot means well and I believe with a little more supervision and with him taken more criticism from players, he will become an even better staff
- As a recent example, I called someone out for some incredibly vulgar content they made about my friends and just in general, and instead of perusing this ACTUAL ISSUE, Taakot bans me for saying a single bad word (one single common word = 3 day ban ; literal sexual harassment on many occassions =
- Not to mention, this was after significant criticism of him and staff, so It's easy to believe this was otherwise motivated.
Cam:
- To preface, I have no idea what happens in the more secretive sections of staff, which is also an issue. This next part is from what I know.
- Cam is a part the issue in staff, she believes the entire server is in conspiracy to dethrone her evil empire.
- This is not the case, many people have issues with her methods: Promoting certain people, not allowing promotions of others, showing an obvious bias in staff,
- However Cam is not the evil orchestrator of the issues with staff, she has merely made some mistakes. Most people know of these mistakes, and I hope she does too.
Cam and Taakot should take me talking about them as a complement, there are other staff which I am too scared to talk about lol.
Overall:
- Some higher staff should have the initiative to learn from people like Shadow and Rice (no simp shit, yall aren't perfect staff either, no one is. These 2 are also not the only staff who are the following)
- Lets take the example of the renowned Kid Genius IT. This was a harmless joke, that possibly (possibly) turned into a nuisance for staff.
- Staff like Shadow and Rice laughed at first, then relieved themselves from the issue, while trying to keep the nuisance at bay.
- Staff like Doc and Cam were instantly alert on terminator mode, and searched and destroyed any evidence of this true crime against order.
- By that I mean, they completely overreacted and from the things I've heard about Staff chat were in witch hunt mode on the search for some guy who was just making a joke.
- Not to mention Staff decided to persecute the WRONG PERSON, as the CCNet community had a chuckle over the idiocy of staff overall.
Fixes:
- Taakot needs to listen to critics rather then writing them off as "just another taakot hater" or whatever. Seriously man you have been called out many many times for the exact same stuff.
- Cam needs to stop believing that the entire community is after her. We aren't and don't blame our criticism on mob mentality, take it into account.
- Staff in general need to stop being so militant, almost all players who have played for a long time expect terrible over-punishment for little to no crimes, and often no punishment for worse crimes.
- Staff in general needs to shed bias, there is a clear group and type favoured among staff, this needs to not be the case.
Final note:
- I don't dislike or hate any staff, I want CCNet to be better and this is truly the greatest issue, however staff cannot be perfect and that's not their fault, however it's not ridiculous to ask for better.
