What if a program tried to BruteForce his password
Yeah.. no.
Please explain.
I could make a simple python program that repeatedly connects to a server, tries multiple login commands with a delay between them so I am not kicked for spam.

You could login to someone's account with that, fast internet, a fast computer. That is all you need to create a bruteforcer, its not like that thing you talked about earlier like that scraper, a scrapper takes like 2 min if it works, but a bruteforcer would take longer, RainbowNation stated, he kept joining and leaving for 30 min, the bruteforcer could have done it or maybe it was stopped.

Be my guest
A true brute-force would take far too long because the login request time is limited to 1 second by default.

Who said he finished the job?
Also I spammed the login and I was definitely sending more requests than 1 a second by hand.
In terms of requests, I think you're only slowed down by internet and CPU speed. Say if you have both, you could probably do it faster than 1 keys a second,

So did you ban him while he was joining and leaving
Yes, so that he wouldn't keep joining and leaving. Then I unbanned him to see if he would come online to talk, which he never did. Then banned him again a couple days later.
