I'd like to take some time out of your day so I can talk to you about something I find to be very serious. Art Theft. Many of you on my friends' list are artists and you care so much about what you do. Some of you are even 3D modelers and having people in the MC community like
Traced_ who steal models from smaller servers and when asked to remove them from their server their staff say things like "People steal, get over it." is discouraging. Even if I had nothing to do with Rokucraft I'd be completely against this behavior because the person who made those models that you stole spent hours making them by himself for his own project just for someone to come along and take them without even the decency to credit him at that. You're adults (As far as I am aware of) using the logic of "Well it was there so I just decided I could have it." I'm asking this as someone who also made icons for that texture pack that you so shamelessly stole: Remove our items from your server, please. I'm not asking as a staff member, I'm asking as an artist who took the time and put in the hard work, just like Jakob did to work on something for us and our community. This is a game about blocks and we shouldn't have to worry about copywriting block models just because someone else is too lazy and prideful to not steal and when caught not admit they were wrong.
To my friends, I know this is really extra of me to post & I'm sorry. This is something I'm very passionate about, though. Being an artist online for so long and having people steal from you makes you feel so rotten inside especially when they wave it in your face that there is nothing you can do to stop it from happening. I know that MysticEmpire only has like a good 30 people, but I'm refusing to support them. I used to be an avid player there and I can't believe that they would do something this childish.
