There's a saying that "any attention is better than no attention" - and I'm not sure where it originated, but I think people just heard it, believed it, and then began creating their own attention for the sake of feeling noticed. Sadly, you cannot create positive attention as easily as negative attention - so a lot of people resort to bullying and drama to get noticed.
People who CREATE attention at the expense of others do NOT deserve your attention.
Don't reward jerks who create drama and bully others for attention with your recognition. They aren't good people and deep down, you know they aren't.
I've been a loner for pretty much my entire life, personally preferring no attention over negative attention. I've enjoyed observing people from outside their circles, thus, never fitting in anywhere. I'd always preferred not getting noticed at all.
That way I could learn more about people, how they act, and how they react to different stimuli. The human being is indeed a curious creature.
It's this same habit of observing from the outside that helped me develop my personal motto: "Learn not only from your own mistakes, but also from that of those around you, for you will never make the same amount of mistakes in your own lifetime"
To this very day, I still prefer solitude, having only two friends in this world, whom I've been friends with for over 30 years. They know me and accept me as I am. 10 years ago, Jeshenel has broken through my wall, and added a third outsider to be welcome inside my little bubble. (excepting my mom, dad and brother. They've been in my bubble from day 1)
