I'm interning as an IT security guy at a hospital.. Turns out I have to audit patient security violations and I'm now known as the "police" to all the nurses in the hospital
They keep some of it that way just to confuse newcomers from getting to the OBGYN section. Notice that the children's ward of each hospital is the most secure, and the newborn babies are in the most difficult to get to areas of the hospital.
Well what I mean by hiding medical records is that when I come in with my ipad ready to look for violations, they try to hide open medical records in the trash can, in the printer, or they try to turn off the monitor.. like I can just turn it back on. But the best method is when there is word that I'm entering the wing, they send a nurse to distract me while the rest of the nurses are scrambling to fix their stations. Pretty funny seeing so many nurses afraid of me when I'm just a 17 y/o kid
