The question is - would this help / hinder the game (especially tourneys). The thing it tries to prevent is just sitting there doing nothing.. i.e. not fighting.. or someone not dying.. clearly not doing a good job since people just sit in boats and wait each other out.. All we really care is that players are just not sitting around not fighting.. i would assume disabling gaps.. should also disable regen type potions.. so theirs not chance to be OP during this time.. just get food so you can run around and still try to attack..
