Sadly you had to move on and give more priority to real life. We all understand that ! A massive thank you to for everything you did for us , You made Capricatown a fine place to play on and teached us a LOT of things. I can never thank you enough.
I just hope you remember me , good luck in for your future endeavors
And so now we have the answers.... that whole "revised EULA" was just the harbinger of things to come.
And I KNEW something was fishy about the whole deal right from the get go.... Mojang didn't give a hoot about our little servers making some money, they never cared about enforcing their "proprietary rights" -- they were just happy people were enjoying the game. Spreading the love....
But you can bloody well bet Microsludge cares about it. They made Mojang an offer they couldn't refuse -- to the tune of 2.5 BILLION (yes you read that correctly - BILLION) dollars and heaven forbid anyone should make a few pennies at their expense. Mojang revising the EULA was no doubt part of the deal -- afterall Microsuck would rather Mojang looked like the bad guys, right? "Bring down the hammer -- make it look like it's not so bad -- let people get used to it -- and then we'll hand over your icy cool $2.5 B. But hey - we can't look like our hands our dirty..."
Good Luck to Markus, Carl, and Jakob in their future endeavours, good luck to the current server owners, and heaven help the rest of us. The makes of Windblows 95,98, XP, Vista, 7, 8... ad nauseum are in charge now.....
That's exactly what I was thinking. To be honest, if I were you I wouldn't give a f*ck about the EULA if it's bad for your server. They probably just wanted to scare us, because they can never sue every single server that isn't compatible with the EULA...
stop reading my mind... but you hit the nail on the head... very coincidental... too bad they don't understand the importance of the smaller servers, which by the way are responsible for I'd say at least 30-50% of the licenses purchased, not to mention the fact that boring vanilla will never fly.
I just wanted to say thank you for helping me the other day, and understand when I didn't know how to type, lol. Thank you for being a kind and understanding person. c:
