why use 1.7? I can explain this in 3 letters. PVP Personally I don't really use 1.8 because it's too fancy for me- all the letters that appear when you join a server, respawn, etc. 1.7 on the other hand, while lacking some features (like Howling said, doesn't show many people/often fails to show ranks beside players' names), has better melee-hit detection. Could only be me, but I think this version of minecraft performs (much) better in, as I said, melee-based PvP. I've heard that 1.8 has better bow/arrows detection though.. Haven't tri...
