Árnastofnun is a collection of iceland most prized texts. These include our Íslendingasögur, which is our old folk tales as well as Edda and Snorra Edda, which is our traditional folk lore.
It's named after Árni as he collected an abundance of these texts during his years in Iceland, he moved them to denmark and re-wrote and safekept them. During the fire of Kobenhavn he saved them.
