classmate : "can you wrap up this cord for the hot glue gun?"
me : "sure! *starts talking to someone else while tiny part of my brain is wrapping the cord around my fingers and not the glue gun*"
*poke poke*
me: "huh?"
classmate: "You've been holding the metal end of the gun that spurts out melted glue and has been turned off less than fifteen seconds ago.
me: ......oh, I am, huh...
Erm, also; bye guys, I'll probably be on only on weekends now, as I usually head to school at 5 and don't get home until 8-ish every day. I know I promised I'd try to be active in my DA app, but you know...I guess that's just not happening, so it's not as if I'll reapply lately or anything. I'll still stalk you guys on Enjin, hehe, I can check it on my iPad <3
I wish everyone would loosen up. I'm all for telling someone they're breaking a rule. I'm really getting tired of the threats, like "If you do (insert rule-breaking and/or something they disagree with) then I'll tell (insert name) staff! I'll make sure you get (insert action) punishment!" Even write an infraction report if you must, but sheesh...please stop with the policing. A lot of people miss the "(insert player) won in (seconds) seconds!" thing and keep typing. It's not a crime to miss a line of chat.
The ball was so fun! Thanks to Willeh for coming up with the ideas for the build and thanks to Indi for hosting it! And Cow and Cran for risking life and limb to dance with me...*trips*
Oh yay, I figured out how to get rid of the horrible scrambling! Sorry Belle, I should've tried this first...but yay for Yui, I can finish it up on my ipad and she can upload from Novaskin!
For those who thought my below post was attacking greedy kids, sorry if I came off that way; I meant to ask those who lump all kids as greedy if they really can't find kids out there who don't do these things. Tl;dr: Not all kids are greedy, (yes...kinda disappointed in the ones who are greedy, but no need to start acting like ONLY kids do it). Sure, we've all made mistakes, but...that means we should try not to do it again, right? I think Cloud's original post was alright, just telling the greedy people (no, I won't say kids, I'm sure there are people older than I being the scammers) to please realize that life is not all about the money. The last post was intended to have some sarcasm in it, directed towards those wistfully going, "Ahhh, I was so much better as a child! Kids after (cutoff date) are all whiny!"
Is it really the norm now for kids to have no bounds? Is it really normal to be greedy to the point of scamming, cheating, lying, and altogether hurting your fellow players? No, don't scam a new player. No, let's not exploit the shop. No, let's not re-sell things at overinflated prices by convincing a unaware player that it's a "new" "rare" "exclusive" "hard to get" "I worked a looooong time for" "special" "expensive" "a good deal" thing. Really? I can honestly say none of my peers are like this...so am I hanging out with a band of freaks, or has something about the chlorinated pool water addled our brains, or did we get shipped straight into the future from the 1950s?
I may not play on DA as much as I should, but it is simply called 'Human Nature'. Its called profit too, I can convince a random new player to pay me all of her/his money so I can gain profit, and it works.
I mean, I don't condone scamming, but at least you had to use your brain. The whining, moping, complaining, and begging is what gets on my nerves....like this complaint: "I will be stuck forever at 70k! I can only earn about 5k a day, not 20k!!! You guys have ruined my dreams! Staff are so uncaring! You made cobble worth 50/stack instead of 200/stack! Bring them back!
