PRELUDE: PART 2
stealthfuly walk in to the room, there’s Lucy, sitting reading a book.
“Hello Karmen, what are you doing up this time at night?” She asks me, still looking at her book.
“Uhm... I... I just wasn’t feeling well, I went to get some medicine last night.” I tell her.
“Alright dear, you better get some rest, but one more question.” I look at her cautiously indicating me asking her what. “Why would you lie to me Karmen?” I’ve been watching you at night, lying sleeplessly, I watched you write that note.” She tells me.
“im... impossible..” I stutter, “You’ve been in here the whole time.” I look at her, noticing that that’s not Lucy, her hair is a different shade of brown.
“I thought you’d be smart enough to figure this out, Karmen...” She looks up at me, “I’m not Lucy.” She puts down the book revealing that she looks nothing like Lucy, just slightly her hair. I run down the hall and hear her footsteps following me. I grab the phone. 911 I dial.
“Hello? Yes officier, this women is in my house! I don’t know her. 3320 Fortsworth Street, Denver Colorado. Come quick! I think she’s hostile!”
“Now, why would you do that Karmen?” She asks “Why would you call the police on your poor helpless step mother?” She morphs in to looking EXACTLY like Lucy except the hair shade. I turn my head because it’s too horrifying to look at, and I see a guy, he looks sinister, I know right off the bat. Dad’s pistol! I remember. Before my father passed, he gave me his pistol, I hide it under my pillow for emergencies like this. I run up the steps and hear the foot steps still after ne, I charge into my bedroom and grab the pistol. I aim it at the head of the Lucy imposter.
“Now Karmen, put that gun down this instant,” the man sternly says, I hear police sirens, I look out the window and the police cars surround my house, I turn my head back and the two are gone. I hear the police officers bust down my door.
“Hello? The one yells, “Is any one here?” I ...
PRELUDE: Part 3
place the gun under my pillow and run down stairs.
“I was the one to call!” I say quickly as they have their guns trained on me. One is tall, very tall, and fairly muscular. The other two are both medium sized, one with black hair, one with brown.
“What’s all the commotion?” The colored one with black hair asks me.
“Well, two people were in my house, one male, one female, the male had long brown hair, the female had brown hair and distinctly looked like my step-mother.” I tell him
“Well, where ever they were they’re not here now.” the colored one says. “If you need anything else... here” He reaches in his pocket and grabs a card and hands it to me.
