Today I have made the decision to resign. It was very hard, but I have come to the conclusion that I will no longer be able to effectively help the staff team, any longer.

I have decided to resign for two reasons. The first is, I have been taken on as a lead editor and writer for one of New Zealand's leading media organisations, meaning I will be spending hours each day working further towards my dream of working in political journalism. Because of this, I will not be active enough to continue my journey as a staff member on Mineplex. Secondly, I have too many social and family commitments to continue with Mineplex. This ties in with the first reason, I am just not active enough to warrant being a staff member.

In the last two months, I have been privileged to work with such an amazing group of individuals from all walks of life. I have learnt so much from all of these people and spent countless hours enjoying their company.

The Mineplex community is one that we should all be proud of. When I joined the server back in 2013, very well before it became popular, I had no idea that it would become such a key and fundamental part of my life. In that time, I have aged four years, grown 36cm, worked two jobs, and even travelled to every continent, including a scenic flight over the most remote part of the world, Antarctica.

I truly want to thank everyone that has made my journey what it has become. Here are a few key people.

FireStar891 The best mentor I could have possibly asked for. The interview was so relaxed (despite the thunder and lightning). You took me on as your mentee and taught me so so much. I’ve really enjoyed working with you, and I hope you continue to do great things.

You haven’t logged in in over two years, but you were the person that first encouraged me to apply. We talked quite frequently and related to each other with our connections to New Zealand. I haven’t spoken to you since you resigned, and I really miss you </3

ash. Ash you are amazing. When you came on board, I was really happy to have someone else to get to know. A Latin American gal living it up in Vietnam is certainly something that interested me, and I loved talking to you about your culture and where you live, as well as your dank maymays. Whenever you'd rant about KJ Apa just.. girl. I'll find you the interview thing with him. We played a lot of games together, and you even had the courtesy to re-design my wall and format this resignation post. Will never forget <3

About Me!

First off, I’m fifteen years old. I’m sixteen in November this year. I’m a New Zealand local, and that is probably something I am proud of the most. New Zealand is such a pristine and exotic place to live, and I am so lucky to live only 20 minutes away from a volcano which has amazing bush walks, water falls and mountain ranges. I have been a member of the Mineplex community since 2013, I’m one of the oldest members of the community on the staff team.

I have a massive interest in politics. I’m heavily involved with the United Nations here in NZ, and I do lots of political campaigning. I’ve been to various political conferences around New Zealand and the world, and have spoken alongside world leaders such as Sir Geoffrey Palmer, former Prime Minister of New Zealand, and Sir John Key, former Prime Minister of New Zealand. Politics is something that excites me and something I have always had a passion for.

I'm also really interested in sport. I play and watch a lot of rugby, which is the tough persons equivalent of American football. My favorite team is the New Zealand All Blacks who are the worlds greatest rugby team. They have won the world championships twice in a row. On top of that, I play a lot of cricket too.

I’m always down for a convo, so if you want to chat, just message me! I host an MPS in-game once a week, usually on a Saturday or Sunday NZST and I always announce it here and in Lobby 1. This is a perfect opportunity to come and meet me and have a chat. I love chatting with you all!
